Sure Youth Frank Gore Jersey , it’s just two games in and early overreactions can look silly fast. But the Miami Dolphins are 2-0 for the first time since 2013 and sitting in first place in the AFC East. of questions entering the season.”What we’re doing out there is close to what we’re looking to do,” coach Adam Gase said. “We just have to do a few things better.”Ryan Tannehill threw two touchdown passes, Kenyan Drake ran for a score and the Dolphins took advantage of several mistakes by Sam Darnold and the New York Jets for a 20-12 victory Sunday that kept Miami undefeated .”It started for us in April,” Gase said. “It’s just nobody else realized that, so we’ll just keep getting better and keep surprising people.”New York dropped to 1-1 with the loss, the same record as New England after the Patriots fell to Jacksonville. Meanwhile, Buffalo is off to an 0-2 start.Miami will look to improve to 3-0 next Sunday at home when it takes on Oakland.”I’m not surprised at all,” wide receiver Albert Wilson said of Miami’s start. “I have high expectations, especially for the offense.”Tannehill finished 17 of 23 for 168 yards and TDs to Wilson and A.J. Derby. He also ran for 44 yards on eight carries for the Dolphins, coming off a win in the longest NFL game since 1970 merger by outlasting Tennessee in 7 hours, 8 minutes last Sunday. After sitting out all of last season with a knee injury, Tannehill has shown he is fully healthy now.”I think he’s doing great,” Wilson said. “I think we can do a little more around him to clean things up, but I think he’s doing his job.”The same could be said of the Dolphins’ defense, which got interceptions from T.J. McDonald and Xavien Howard.”They’re getting turnovers and getting the ball in our hands,” Tannehill said. “You can’t ask for anything more from the defense. … But as an offense, we have to turn our level of play up.”Here are some other things to know from the Dolphins’ win over the division-rival Jets:SAM’S STARTAfter a solid NFL debut, the 21-year-old Darnold struggled a bit in this one . He was 25 of 41 for 334 yards鈥?the youngest player to throw for 300 or more 鈥?and a touchdown to Bilal Powell with the two INTs in his second NFL start, but couldn’t consistently get the offense moving.”Just missed opportunities,” Darnold said. “I think that goes for every game where you look at all the plays you wish you could have back. Again, short week, got a game Thursday (at Cleveland) and we’ve got to get right back to it tonight.”Darnold got off to a much better start than in the Jets’ opener in Detroit http://www.dolphinsauthorizedshops.com/authentic-jason-sanders-jerse , when his first NFL pass was intercepted and returned for a touchdown. But on the Jets’ second possession in this one, Darnold turned it over when his pass intended for Quincy Enunwa was picked off by McDonald. Three plays later, Drake’s 6-yard run gave the Dolphins a 7-0 lead.DOLPHINS CAPITALIZEMiami took advantage of another turnover after Darnold completed a 10-yard pass to Robby Anderson, who had the ball knocked out of his hands by Kiko Alonso. Raekwon McMillan recovered for the Dolphins at the Jets 49, giving Miami a short field. Wilson scored on a 29-yard catch to make it 14-0.The Jets, coming off a 48-17 rout of Detroit on Monday night, appeared in great shape when Jordan Jenkins forced and recovered a fumble after a strip-sack of Tannehill gave New York the ball at the Miami 12. But, Darnold’s pass to Terrelle Pryor on the next play was intercepted in the end zone by Howard.”We’ve got to make them pay for turning the ball over and we just gave it right back to ’em,” Darnold said.GORE-Y PERFORMANCEFrank Gore moved up in the NFL record books by passing Curtis Martin for fourth on the career rushing list, and helped seal the win with a game-sealing catch. On third-and-19 and the game still hanging in the balance late in the fourth quarter, Gore caught a low pass and zipped up the field for exactly 19 yards before going down. The Dolphins were able to then run out the clock, and Gore earned a game ball from Gase for that play, as well as his 8-yard run in the third quarter that put him behind only Barry Sanders, Walter Payton and Emmitt Smith.”It means a lot,” said Gore, who finished with 25 yards on nine carries. “I’ve been doubted my whole life, coming out of college (at Miami) with the injuries that I had. People were saying I would only be in the league two or three years. I’d be done. I’ve been blessed to keep going and have success.”COULD’VE BEEN MOREOn second-and-10 from the 14, Darnold completed a short pass to Chris Herndon, who fumbled, recovered and tried to get into the end zone, but was tackled at the 1 as time expired in the opening half 鈥?keeping the Jets off the scoreboard.”I should’ve done what I had to do to get in,” the rookie tight end said.THE X-FACTORThe Jets were victims of bad field position all game as Dolphins punter Matt Haack consistently pinned New York back in its territory.Only once in 12 possessions did the Jets start a drive better than their 25 Cameron Wake Jersey , and that came early in the fourth quarter when they got the ball at their 41 after Avery Williamson recovered a fumbled snap by Tannehill.Miami Dolphins fans Week 1 rooting guide It is only Week 1 of the 2018 regular season, but that does not mean playoff considerations can not be already made. I know, it is way too early, but at the end of the season, a win in Week 1 could make or break the Miami Dolphins’ playoff positioning. As such, we need to take a look across the NFL’s schedule and see which way you should be rooting. The basic rules for most of the game is that you root the Dolphins, for NFC teams over AFC teams, and you do not root for teams in the AFC East. Later in the year, when strengths of victory and the surprises of the season – “bad” teams being good and “good” teams being bad – this will adjust, but for Week 1, here is our rooting guide:Bills at Ravens – 1pmThe first game on our tracker is actually a tough one to try to decide where to root. The Bills were in the playoffs last year and are an AFC East team, so the rule should be to root against them. The Ravens, however, are always a tough team for Miami – luckily they are not a regular season opponent this year – and should be in the AFC Wildcard picture. A loss early in the year from Baltimore could be a good thing for Miami. At the end of the day, however, we will stick with trying to see Miami get ahead of Buffalo in the division. Root for: Ravens.Jaguars at Giants – 1pmCan the Jaguars repeat their 2017 performance and win the AFC South? If they can put themselves in that position, then a win here is actually better for Miami because it will help their strength of schedule and possibly strength of victory when the Dolphins host the Jaguars in Week 16. That said, AFC losses are better for Miami right now, especially if the Jaguars are not able to reclaim their division title and are in Wildcard positions. Root for: Giants.Texans at Patriots – 1pmIf we are being honest, the Patriots will win the AFC East again this year, while the Texans will be a Wildcard competitor (assuming they do not beat the Jaguars for the AFC South championship). A Houston loss here is probably better for the Dolphins, especially since the Dolphins have two shots at the Patriots and just one at the Texans. I cannot write that however Authentic Laremy Tunsil Jersey , because it is the Patriots, and at this point, we will assume Miami is in the running for the AFC East. Root for: Texans.49ers at Vikings – 1pmThis one is simple. Miami plays the Vikings this year, they do not play the 49ers. Two NFC teams does nothing for the playoff picture in the AFC, so getting Miami’s opponent a stronger strength of schedule is better. Root for: Vikings.Bengals at Colts – 1pmBoth teams are on Miami’s schedule this year, neither team was a playoff team in 2017, and both could struggle this year. I will lean toward Andrew Luck’s return making the Colts a better team in 2018, so I want to see them lose early, but this is a coin toss game at this point. Root for: Either.Steelers at Browns – 1pmAssuming the Ravens are in the Wildcard hunt probably means the Steelers are winning the AFC North. Miami does not play either of these two teams this season, so seeing Pittsburgh get out to an early divisional lead will be good. Root for: Steelers.Chiefs at Chargers – 4:05pmAnother AFC versus AFC game that does not have much of an impact on the Dolphins – at least until the Wildcard picture starts to come into focus. The Chiefs won the division last year, with the Chargers a game behind them but missing the playoffs. This game is just about who you think will be more likely to win the division and which team you want to see pick up a loss for the Wildcard competition. Root for: Either.Seahawks at Broncos – 4:25pmNFC versus AFC make this one simple. Root for: Seahawks.Bears at Packers – 8:20pmMiami faces both teams this year, so the strength of schedule options sort of come into play, but since they even each other out with a win and a loss in this game, it does not mean anything in the long run unless Miami beats the loser and loses to the winner. Another coin-toss game that could be in the not considered list, but made it up here. Root for: Either.Jets at Lions – MNF 7:10pmA pretty straight forward one, though you could argue that the Dolphins face both of these teams, and since the Jets are on the schedule twice, a win for them here could be better for Miami’s strength of victory/schedule, but getting ahead in the AFC East is always better. Plus, there is no way to write “Root for” followed by the New York team unless it is an absolute necessity. Root for: Lions.Rams at Raiders – MNF 10:20pmNFC at AFC. The strength of victory/schedule could be an option here, but getting the Raiders a loss in the Wildcard chase is better. Root for: Rams.Games without consequence for DolphinsBuccaneers at Saints – 1pmCowboys at Panthers – 4:25pmRedskins at Cardinals – 4:25pm
